Quality Management and Accreditation
 

The Quality Management and Accreditation Department ensures all patients receive superior quality care in an environment of minimal risk, focusing on reducing process variations that may impede the delivery of quality care. The Department guides and supports hospital-wide performance improvement activities, physician peer review, policy and procedures oversight, and new or revised document review to reduce patient risk.

The department facilitates Joint Commission preparedness, standards interpretation and adherence to standards and collaborates with Ohio KePRO, IHI, and other organizations (who also provide benchmarking data) to develop, implement, and monitor best practice and evidence-based standards. In addition to establishing an environment that encourages feedback, the department also provides the opportunity for education in performance improvement principles and processes to governing bodies, medical staff and all staff members.
